Supporting New Groups

Interested in setting up a new community group on your estate? Want to work with others to help strengthen your community?

We can help.

RotherFed will help you get started. From organising your first event or meeting, to providing a range of ongoing support services and once your group is up and running. We offer practical advice and guidance as your group forms and develops, we help you promote your activities within your local community and provide support to get other people involved.

One of our staff or volunteers will meet up with you and understand what support you need. This could involve helping produce and distribute posters or paying for use of a local community room. Or to help organise and fund your first event such as a litter pick, a social get together or a small community meeting.

Once your group is up and running, RotherFed will support your group to help you engage with people and strengthen your community. Help may include start up grants including environmental grants to help improve your estate, free support and examination of your accounts and DBS (criminal records) checks for your members.

By becoming involved with us, you will also get the opportunity to network and meet with other groups, receive free one to one support, and access a range of training opportunities for your group members.
