The spooky Springwell event took place on Thursday 31st October 2019 and was supported by Springwell TARA as well as Wendy and Paul who volunteered to serve free warm drinks and hotdogs, they prepared the buffet before the event started and helped with cleaning throughout the night.
The event was well attended, with around 80 people from the East Herringthorpe, East Dene and Springwell estates. All of the children were in fancy dress and a few of the parents. Not including staff and volunteers that worked the event and the 2 councillors which attended.
We received donations of prizes from Jump to simply skate that were given out over the night to the fancy-dress winner chosen from attendees. We also received a donation from Asda towards the catering and a tin of roses from a councillor.
We had mini games with prizes of sweets for the children such as pass the parcel and musical statues with help from the DJ.
There was an area put aside for non-prize games like connect 4 and table football, a table for colouring and a free face painter which the children enjoyed.
